Advertise with AER

Ninety-nine country pages answer one question: how many Americans live there. Put your firm on the answer.

Someone types ‘how many Americans live in Portugal’ into a search box. AER has the page that answers it, built from Portugal’s own government records, and the same for all 99 countries in the project. The people who read those pages are moving, advising someone who is moving, or writing about it. Request the advertiser kit and tell us which markets matter to you.

The Inventory

The 99 Country Pages Are the Inventory.

Every country in the project has a page built around the question a reader actually types. The Canada page is titled How Many Americans Live in Canada? It then answers it from Canada’s own census and immigration records, with every figure cited to the authority that published it.

That is a search-intent audience, not a demographic one. A reader who lands on the Portugal page is not browsing. They are deciding, advising, or filing. An immigration practice, a relocation firm, a cross-border tax adviser or a national bar association reaches them at the moment the question is live, which is the only moment that converts.

Placement on a country page is the closest thing this publication has to shelf space: one country, one question, one reader who came looking for the answer. It is inventory that exists nowhere else, because nobody else built the pages.

Who Reads AER

A Small Audience That Decides Things.

Placement is worth what the reader is worth. Most of ours arrive through the country research, a search with a decision behind it, and stay for the weekly brief. We are not chasing scale for its own sake; the value of this list is who is on it.

Immigration and Tax Counsel

Lawyers and accountants advising Americans on residence, citizenship, and cross-border filing: people who need the underlying government source, not a summary of it.

Relocation and Wealth Advisers

Firms guiding individuals and families through a move abroad, and the private-client advisers who handle what follows.

Policy and Government Staff

Analysts and desk officers on both sides of the Atlantic who work on migration, consular affairs, and citizenship policy.

Researchers and Academics

Demographers and migration scholars who cite our figures, and check them. The most demanding readers we have.

Journalists and Editors

Reporters covering emigration who need a number they can attribute, with its publisher and edition attached.

Americans Actually Moving

Readers making the decision themselves, who found us because nobody else was counting.

What We Are Planning

Four Ways to Work with Us.

Four formats, built around the country pages and the weekly brief. Tell us which markets matter and the kit comes back on that basis.

01

Site Placement

Placement on the 99 country pages, the ones readers reach from search asking how many Americans live in a given country. One country, a region, or all of them. Tell us which markets matter and the kit comes back on that basis.

02

Newsletter Sponsorship

A single sponsor per edition of the weekly brief. Logo, a short block of your own copy, and one link. Placed above the fold, marked as a sponsorship.

03

Research Underwriting

Fund a country study or a data release. Credited as the underwriter, with no say in scope, method, or findings. The terms are set out in full in the kit.

04

Reports and Briefings

Sponsorship of a published report or a briefing for your own clients, built from the record we already hold.

The Line We Do Not Cross

What Sponsorship Will Never Buy.

Our only asset is that our figures can be checked. A partner who wants to bend that is buying something we do not have for sale. They would be paying to destroy the reason they wanted the audience.

Sponsors never see the data first

No partner gets advance sight of a figure, a ranking, or a country page before it publishes. There is no embargo tier and there will not be one.

Paid is always marked paid

Every commercial placement carries a label a reader cannot miss. We do not run native pieces that read as editorial.

No sponsor influences a finding

Underwriting funds the work. It does not shape the method, the sources, the conclusions, or which countries we cover.

Corrections outrank commercial ties

If we get a figure wrong, we correct it, including when the correction is inconvenient for a partner.

The full policy is in the kit, and it is the same policy we publish in our Editorial Policy.

The Advertiser Kit

Tell Us Where to Send It.

The kit covers the audience in detail, our editorial standards in full, the formats we are planning, and where sponsorship stands. It is sent by a person, not a robot. Add a line about what you are trying to reach and the reply will be about that.

  • Audience composition and how we grow it
  • Editorial standards and the underwriting terms in full
  • Planned formats, and the thinking behind each
  • Founding partner rates and how to reserve placement

We use your address to send the kit and to follow up once. No list, no resale.

Questions

Before You Ask.

Can I sponsor a single country?

That is the most common request, and it is what the country-page inventory is built for. A firm that works on Italy has no use for the Japan page. Tell us which countries matter to you and the kit will come back on that basis.

We are a government or academic body, not an advertiser.

Ask anyway. Research underwriting and institutional partnerships run on different terms, and the kit covers both.
