A. Permitted use

• The website is intended for informational purposes only and should not be used as legal, immigration, financial, or professional advice.

• You may browse, read, and share publicly available content for personal, non-commercial use.

B. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or republish any content except as permitted in Section 3, Citation and Republication.

• Use the website for unlawful purposes, including but not limited to fraudulent activities, spamming, or data harvesting.

• Attempt to disrupt the website's functionality through hacking, viruses, or other malicious actions.

• Use automated tools, such as bots or scrapers, to extract data from the site.

3. Intellectual Property, Citation and Republication

All content published on AmericanEmigration.com — text, images, graphics, logos, video, charts, and research articles — is the property of American Emigration Revue or its respective contributors.

A. Citation

You may quote and cite our work, including specific figures, with attribution to American Emigration Revue and a link to the page cited. Where we identify the underlying government source for a figure, please name that source too.

B. Charts

Holders of a current Pro subscription may reproduce AER charts in editorial articles, unaltered, with the credit "Source: American Emigration Revue" and a link to the page the chart came from.

C. Data

The underlying datasets, exports, and country tables are licensed, not published for reuse. Reproducing them in whole or in substantial part, or building a product or service on them, requires a written license. Request one at info@americanemigration.com.

D. Not covered by A, B or C

Marketing materials, reports sold or licensed to others, and systematic or automated reuse. These require a written license.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

The website is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied. American Emigration Revue makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content; the uninterrupted or error-free operation of the website; or the security of data transmitted through the website.

5. Subscriptions, Billing and Cancellation

A. Plans and prices

Paid subscriptions are offered on monthly and annual terms, at the prices shown on our subscription page at the time you subscribe. Prices are in US dollars and do not include any taxes that may apply where you live.

B. Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically. A monthly plan renews each month, and an annual plan renews every twelve months, on the anniversary of your purchase, until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method the then-current price for each renewal term.

C. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file. If a payment fails, we may retry it, and we may suspend access to paid features until it succeeds.

D. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from your account page, or by emailing info@americanemigration.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your access continues until then. We will not ask you to make a phone call or sit through a retention conversation in order to cancel.

E. Refunds

If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment on a new subscription, we will refund that payment in full on request. After that period, fees already charged for the current term are not refunded, and cancelling stops future charges. If you have been charged in error, tell us within 60 days and we will correct it.

F. Price changes

We may change subscription prices. A change takes effect at your next renewal, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before it does, so that you can cancel first if you prefer.

G. Changes to paid features

Paid features may be added, changed, or withdrawn. If we withdraw a feature that was a material part of the plan you bought, and you tell us within 30 days, we will refund the unused portion of your current term.

H. The weekly brief

The weekly brief is free and is not a subscription. You can unsubscribe from it at any time using the link in every email, whether or not you hold a paid plan.

6. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States. Any disputes arising from the use of this website shall be resolved through arbitration or the courts located in New York.
