What Is the Difference Between Reader and Pro?
Reader is for reading: the full 99-country dashboard with 2024 and 2025 data, country profiles, demographics, and every subscriber-only article, with shareable links to any filtered view. Pro is for working with the data: every year we hold plus the live year where available, per-chart CSV export downloaded one year at a time with source and vintage headers, saved views, and the right to republish our charts with credit.
Can I Republish AER Charts and Data?
Charts, yes. On Pro you can reproduce our charts in an article, unaltered, credited to American Emigration Revue with a link to the page they came from. The underlying data is licensed separately — if you want to publish the numbers themselves, or build something on them, write to us and we will sort out terms. Institutional covers both, org-wide.
How Does Institutional Access Work?
Institutional plans are licensed to your organization, not to a card: org-wide dashboard access, bulk, scheduled, and multi-year-range export, rate-limited API access, and a full data-license agreement, billed by invoice or purchase order. Tell us your organization, sector, and roughly how many seats you need, and we'll come back to you with pricing.
Where Does the Data Come From?
Official government sources only — host-country statistical offices, interior ministries, and US federal series. We do not estimate and we do not model. Every figure on every plan carries the name of the government source it draws from and the edition it was published in.
Can I Cancel Anytime?
Yes. Reader and Pro are billed by card and can be canceled anytime; access runs to the end of the paid period. Annual plans include two months free.
